Used to see it fairly often; the first time I watched the Otter dive past the formation while I was on approach to the star was a bit disconcerting, but after a while you got used to seeing the plane landing under you right after you opened.
I lost my job making glass eyes for merry-go-round horses back in my youth. I decided to become a mercenary commando soldier, you know, hired gun, but unwisely chose the Salvation Army as my outfit. I never got to kill anybody, and I've got tinnitus in my right ear from the bell now.

I made an approach like that once only it was in a R-44 helicopter. :>)
uhm yeah, that steep bank at short final was uh, imprudent.

can imagine a career - short one - fer such a fella in oh columbia & such
