This is fantastic. I love your blog, but this one entry is one of the best things I've ever seen... as a college age boy who often has problems trying to explain to his peers why I'd take a perfectly good B.S. and use it to enlist with an eye toward Army Airborne/Special Forces, this pretty much sums up my feelings entirely. Thank you.
I lost my job making glass eyes for merry-go-round horses back in my youth. I decided to become a mercenary commando soldier, you know, hired gun, but unwisely chose the Salvation Army as my outfit. I never got to kill anybody, and I've got tinnitus in my right ear from the bell now.
